Dance of Death at Donmar Trafalgar

Rehearsals have just started for The Dance of Death opening at London’s Trafalgar Studios on the 13th December as part of the Donmar’s Trafalgar season. In a new version of August Strindberg’s play by Conor McPherson, the play is directed by Titas Halder, with the cast including Kevin McNally and Indira Varma. I’m so pleased to be back for the season after last year’s success of the Olivier nominated Salt, Root and Roe (for outstanding achievement in an affiliate theatre).

Salt, Root and Roe & Frankenstein nominated for Oliviers 2012

Thrilled that two shows I had a great deal of pleasure working on last year have been nominated for the 2012 Oliver awards;

Salt, Root and Roe for the Donmar Warehouse’s season at Trafalgar Studios was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre. I was composer and sound designer on the piece.. one of my favourites, much of the music from the show is available to listen to in my Listen/Watch section.

Frankenstein at the National Theatre was nominated for Best Sound Design – working alongside Underworld and Ed Clarke on the music and sound score, I was Music Associate on the production directed by Danny Boyle. The show will be repeated at cinema screenings this summer across the UK and rest of the world as part of NT Live.

Salt, Root and Roe at Donmar Trafalgar

I’ve recently completed music and sound for the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Salt, Root and Roe at London’s Trafalgar Studio 2. Directed by Hamish Pirie and written by Tim Price, the cast includes Imogen Stubbs, Anna Carteret and Anna Calder-Marshall. It has had some great reviews (read the Evening Standard one here). To find out more about the play, visit the Donmar’s website. I’ve put some of my soundtrack to the show here:
